1 : 365 While everyone else was out drinking and partying, I was riding my way into the new year. It was a cold ride but I really can't think of any other way I would have celebrated the end of an amazing year and the start of another one full of potential.
2 : 365 On the roof of a structure that rests on the roof of another much, much larger building.
3 : 365 I'm aching for plant pressing season.
4 : 365 Taking a quick break from packing to read a little.
5 : 365 The one really fun thing about packing is you get to see how cool all your stuff really is. Seeing my things gathered together got me excited about them all over again.
6 : 365 Moving day! I thought Jeff and I were just going to take a few boxes over to my new place but friends were invited and we actually ended up moving all but a few things over in just a matter of hours. I have some seriously amazing friends.

We were determined to get my larger items over to the new place despite the fact none of us drives a truck, van or anything big. That night we actually ended up taping my mattress to the top of Jason's car. By some miracle, it made it! I'm pretty disappointed that no one thought to take a picture of it but to be honest, I was too busy stressing out that it wouldn't work to snap a picture. The only moving casualties I had were some broken plants!

This is Jason. He suggested we get a group shot of all of us with my silly things (the giant ice cream cone, big ceramic cat, full sized guy medical model, etc) but we ended up running out of time so I just took this picture of him in a tiny hat with the ice cream cone.
7 : 365 Unpacked a bit in the new place. I'm dying to start figuring out where everything will go.
And that was my first week of the new year! Moving is certainly a fun way to start. I have a feeling 2015 is going to be a pretty fun adventure.

I'm ridiculously excited about your move because I get to do one too in the summer and I'm stupidly happy about it. For realz.

Anywho. Lovely pictures, wot. And happy Monday.

    1. That's awesome! Congrats (and good luck!) on your upcoming move! :)

  2. You really have a lot of cool stuff, specially those little ones. It's always fun discovering some more. I have also a lot of those miniatures stuff, but I can't decide either to put them on the shelves, to be visible, or into the boxes when I want to minimalism my place. It that double personality of mine for small things ;)
    Have a nice day!

    1. The tiny hat belongs to one of my taxidermy animals. I have a very fancy raccoon in my apartment. ;)

  5. Sounds like an eventful week!! Its awesome to hear your move wasn't too drawn out/stressful. Moving sucks, but I seriously love unpacking.

    ps. Jason is cute

    1. Yeah, unpacking was A LOT more fun than packing. Honestly though, figuring out where to hang things is maybe the most stressful part.

  6. Is that Miss Perigrine's Home for Peculiar Children that you're reading? The words seem familiar, but I'm not sure! I love the photo of your friend Jason-hilarious :)

    1. Haha, good eye! Yes, it is. It's one of Jeff's favorite books so he let me borrow it.

    2. Awesome! Enjoy! I haven't picked up the second book yet, but I really loved that one :)
