299 : 365 I have oodles of photos from this day but the one below of my dad in that stupid hat with his cigar and a bb gun takes the cake.
300 : 365 Just us girls out exploring.
301 : 365 Shot some tiny beach treasures. You can see the full version here, or buy prints here!
302 : 365 Explored the city with some out-of-towners. It was fun to revisit the observatory in the fall. It's such a beautiful building. You can find my original post about it here.

303 : 365 A pretty little mural outside of Mason's Creamery.

304 : 365 Halloween! It approached a bit too quickly for me and I didn't have a chance to think of an awesome costume idea. Luckily, I had recently purchase skeleton pajamas so it all worked out! When I was younger I always used to fight my mom about my Halloween costumes. She always made me pick out things I could layer under since Halloween in Ohio is always pretty cold. I hated it. I wanted to things with skin showing, not in a sexy way or anything, just a dang costume that I didn't have to wear sweatpants and a sweatshirt under. Kind of funny that this year a costume I could layer under was something I had to have.

305 : 365 Finally sorted through a big box of camera stuff my friend gave to me. I'm really excited to add three Canon bodies and a handful of lenses to my collection of cameras. I cannot wait to get out and shoot now!
306 : 365 Little mushrooms hiding out in a hollowed out log.

  1. Oooh I have a Canon AE-1 that used to belong to my grandma, it's my favorite non-digital camera of all-time.

  3. Haha, oh moms. Mine would always make me wear things underneath or a jacket over the whole thing. Joys of living in the Midwest (and with moms that care!) :)

  4. That skeleton onesie is amazing! I've always thought it a bit inconvenient that Halloween was during a time when it was super cold out.

    1. Right?! Earlier in the fall would work so much better. It would be nice if it was cool outside, instead of freeeeezing!

  5. Hey Lady I have been reading your blog for over two years now and I love all of the new exciting things you have been sharing. I have been especially inspired by your new found love of urban exploration, so my husband and I took our daughter to an abandoned chemical plant today and we had a BLAST!!! It was so exciting and I can't wait to check out more abandoned places! Thanks for the inspiration. Stay Awesome

    1. Hey! I hate to preach when I'm not following my own word but please make sure you know the dangers of exploring abandoned buildings before going in them. Lead paint, asbestos, and mold are just three of the many very real dangers. Not to mention, it's illegal, especially somewhere like a chemical plant. That honestly just sounds like a biological hazard.

I never intended my photos of abandoned places to encourage other to do the same thing. I definitely don't recommend it.

      Just please be careful! xo

  7. I love your Dad's hat! Dad's and their senses of humour- mine stuck a feather epaulette on his head last weekend...it's meant for my wedding dress.

  8. Oh Kaylah... best photo ever on your blog is the one of your dad. Dads can be such goofy characters sometimes... sure miss mine, but somewhere I have some fun old black and whites from him. Thanks for sharing him with us. xox

  9. I used to have the same beef with my mom! I really, remember wearing a Jem and the Holograms costume and my mom made me wear jeans and a button up shirt underneath it! I fought with her for like 20 minutes about it, but of course she won in the end! I wish I could find the picture, cause my face was kinda red and I had just lost a tooth!
