spiders, frogs + mushrooms, oh my! - The Dainty Squid

spiders, frogs + mushrooms, oh my!

Time for one of my favorite kinds of posts, one filled with nature photos! I've been hoarding away a nice little collection of them just for this occasion. These were all taken with my 60D + macro lens, which I certainly do not use often enough. Every few months I'll think about selling it but as soon as I shoot with it I'm like "NOPE, NEVER!" I still think these filters are a great, super cheap alternative for a not so serious photographer who wants to get a bit closer but this lens blows me away every single time.
This is my absolute favorite time to get out and photograph nature. I feel like spring is typically regarded as the season full of life but fall brings out all my favorites things.

    1. He was pretty big. Big enough I wasn't really a fan of touching him.

    1. Thanks, Mindi!

Why not rent one? Always fun to play around with lenses that way instead of buying them if it's not something you'll use all the time.

  12. That spider is straight out of a dream I had the other night. I've had three dreams about spiders in the last two weeks... apparently I've been spending too much time thinking about the future and this web of life I'm weaving.

    These photos are AWESOME.
