If you couldn't tell by the regularity of outfit posts the last few weeks which haven't been all that steady since I moved to Cleveland, I've found a new favorite area to shoot photos. That was a really, really huge reason I stopped taking them. I like having a dependable area to go to since I'm not a hug fan of shooting them indoors and I'm still kind of shy about shooting in front of people. As I was driving to my new spot I caught a glimpse of this field of flowers and decided I had to shoot there! I didn't realize there would be so many bugs in that field. I set up my tripod, dashed into the field and watched as a fog of tiny bugs flew out around me. Blerg. It was so gross. By the time I was done my knee high socks were covered in spiderwebs filled with dead bugs.

Bugs aside, I am such a sucker for fields of flowers. Goldenrod is so pretty especially when covering such a large area. This is the most beautiful time of the year.

  1. What a pretty spot for photos! I LOVE that cardigan, it matches the flowers so well. I don't like people around when I take outfit pictures either, I normally end up doing them in my backyard but I am always terrified of the neighbors seeing me. Haha.

    1. Hah! I used to worry about that too when I had a backyard. I'm sure it has to look dumb taking picture of yourself. :P

  3. This is a gorgeous photo set! The outfit is incredible (I love the fox print on your dress!), but I think what really makes this post special are your surroundings. The bright pops of goldenrod paired with your goldenrod cardigan, the soft grey clouds hanging above, I love it all!

  5. I loooove your new spot to take outfit pics ♥ like I mention before I don't like outfit posts but yours are different, the places you shoot, your personal style including your hair, tattoos and piercings make all these posts so special. Can't wait to see the coming outfit posts!

  7. When I move, I'm going to have a tough time finding a good spot for outfit photos too -- I like taking them outside, but I really don't like taking them in public and have people staring at me! But these photos of you are so beautiful, and I always love the way you put colors together! That 6th photo down is just lovely :)

  9. That belt is perfect! Adorable little foxes. Wild flowers are the absolute best, they always look so much more prettier then store ones at home. x

    1. Yeah, I'm kind of obsessed with the belt. I have it in two colors so it's basically the only belt I ever wear.

  11. Terrific photos! I love shades of goldenrod or mustard for fall! I used to have a sweater this perfect shade of mustard yellow that I wore constantly- I have to find it again! And I totally agree about not wanting to take pictures around people. Even in the safety of my backyard I'm still stressed that neighbors will see me. I'm trying to get better at taking pictures at other locations, though!

  20. Beautiful! I love the color scheme here, especially the mustard sweater and how it perfectly matches the goldenrod. And that hair. Day-um!

Also, it's reassuring to know you're not the only one who feels kinda sketchy taking outfit photos in front of other people. I really need to invest in a tripod and frolic. :) :)

  21. Gorgeous pictures! I also prefer to take pictures when there is not people around because I can look more natural, although sometimes in Barcelona it's a really difficult task to find that type of location so I started to create a mechanism to shut myself off the surroundings, which is to look at the floor before the click hahahah :) but it kind of works to avoid eye contact to feel like they are really not caring about how silly I look.

Hah! I do the same thing, I never make eye contact when I get caught taking photos of myself. :P
