365 Had to pull over, and run to the pier to catch this sunset!
: 365 When I moved I got a new PO Box. At the same time I put in a request for all the mail from my old one to be forwarded to my new one. It's been since February and I still hadn't gotten any mail forwarded so I decided to swing by and make sure mail wasn't still doing to my old PO Box. When I opened it I was greeted with tons of postcards and small packages! Although super annoying it never made it to my new address, it did make my day to get so much mail at once.
: 365 The Grand Canyon, and it's bison!
: 365 One thing I was really excited about seeing in the desert was cactus. I saw so many awesome plants I had never seen in person before. I took tons of film photos of all the different ones. I really hope they turned out.
: 365 I've been wanting to stay at a Wigwam Motel for a few years now. (There are 3 locations.) I'm SO stoked to finally cross that off my list, although I kind of would like to stay at the other two as well!
: 365 The Petrified Forest. I have barely any photos from here. It was SO hot, I hadn't eaten yet, was super sleepy and it was so bright that I wasn't sure I was getting good photos. Actually, I was positive that everything I was shooting was garbage so I just didn't shoot much at all. Later that day when I was looking back through my photos I realized everything actually looked pretty awesome. D'oh!
: 365 Colorado is full of beautiful scenic pull-offs.
: 365 One of my favorite stops of the whole trip!
: 365 Back at home cleaning out my bags, and going through everything I brought home.
xoxo

  8. #160 really made me smile. I live in Arizona, born and raised. Cacti never seemed cool to me until I lived in Alaska for over a year. It took moving to a completely different state and being homesick to realize how beautiful the desert is. Lightning storms here are especially incredible. Of course, Alaska is breathtakingly gorgeous in her own right.
