Life Lately...

Thursday, December 19, 2013

I've been doing a bit of rearranging around the house. It's incredible how fresh moving a few pieces of furniture around can make the whole house feel. I moved my big hutch that's full with my collection of weather houses from the hallway into the living room. It looks so much nicer in here and it's great to finally have that collection somewhere where it will be appreciated.
At an estate sale I found two old photo albums still in the box for a dollar each that I had a feeling would be perfect for my land camera photos. Turns out they are! I'm very happy to get them out of the box I was stashing them away in and have them somewhat organized. I was able to completely fill up one album and get a good start in the second one. But with all the film I have stored away in my fridge I'm going to need a couple more of these albums! Someday I'd like to get all of my photos in albums but uh, one step at a time.
A new plant and a cute pup curious what I could possibly be photographing that wasn't him. Clearly, those two photos were taken a few weeks ago before the snow came. It's been snowing like craaaazy here the last week and a half. It hasn't been too bad though. It's been coming in big chunks, mostly overnight, which is great because it's been plowed before I want to go anywhere.
Have you heard of Projecto? They make a tiny projector that you can get wheels of your own Instagram photos made of. It's small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and it actually works. Isn't that awesome? I got a wheel solely of Klaus. It's the cutest! PS. You can get $5 off with code: FRIEND062D
Planning 2014's content feels so strange. The end of the year is always weird I guess. But I LOVE busting out a new planner. I bought this one months ago because I just couldn't resist. I even bought some new pens to go with it. (PS. I blogged about my blog planning method last year if you're curious!)
I've been keeping busy with The Destash Squid. Yesterday I just finished cutting and photographing the very last of the fabric so early next week I'll get that in the shop. I'll also be adding my button presses (1 inch + 2.25 inches) to the shop. I'm going to be so happy to have this all finished up! Although, I really do love going to the post office. The regular guy at the post office, who is so so so nice, wasn't there they day I had to drop off that trunk-full of packages. The person who was there was definitely less than pleased. Haha!

  1. Ep! Like actually button presses?! I got to use one this past semester and it was highly addictive. But now that I've graduated I'm button-less. I'll have to keep an eye out for when you add them!

  6. Lovely - I'm impressed that you still shoot with film and print your photos. I haven't seen a photo album for such a long time now. And so many cameras. Obviously photography is a passion of yours.

  9. I love seeing pictures of Klaus. I just found out today that my dog, Jack, has terminal cancer so your picture and caption made me a little emotional. It's crazy how much those little stinkers just steal your heart.
