I have seriously been slacking in the outfit post department. In July I only posted two of them, which is a far cry from my twice a week schedule I've had going for some time. Wanna know my reason? Dude, it's hot out and I don't handle heat well. My face easily gets flushed. I despise sweating. Temperatures above 90 degrees Fahrenheit and I are not friends, unless I'm at the beach.  Last year during the summer I didn't skip any outfit posts because it was hot but there were certainly a lot of times I wished I could just not take any. I think this post from late June of last year sums it up perfectly. I specifically remember taking those photos and just being miserable. But the truth is when I don't take them I feel guilty. Bad blogger, bad blogger! It's silly the schedule I feel I need to maintain, it's not that big of a deal at all. But I really do miss taking outfit pictures. It's fun! So after that brief hiatus, I'm back! The weather should be cooling off soon and if not, oh well, I miss taking pictures of what I'm wearing.

Hope you're having a swell Thursday and that it's not too hot wherever you are in the world!
xoxo

PS. Here is a link to the last time I featured this dress on the blog. Still totally something I'd wear, although this jean jacket and I have been pretty inseparable as of late.

    1. Haha! Me too, going outside was rare and done very quickly. I'd step out and be like "yep, done with this!"

Where are you in N.E. Ohio?

  3. I love pretty much any outfit that incorporates a denim jacket. Especially if it's over a gold/yellow dress! One of my very favorite combinations!

  5. Love this outfit! You always have the best accessories! Heat can be rough, so I don't blame you for wanting to skip out on posing for a camera when you're all sweaty. Not fun. Looking forward to more outfit posts as the weather cools down!

  6. Looking gorgeous Kaylah, love the yellow. I hate having to dress up in warm weather when all I really want to do is wallow in my PJs!

  7. I completely agree with how you feel about the heat! I cannot stand being sweaty and it is even worse now that I'm pregnant because I'm hot even while in the air conditioning!

  10. I'm so glad I am not the only one who cannot stand the heat. It's great being able to sit and enjoy the nice weather but it doesn't inspire me to take outfit photos. Or maybe I am just self conscious about putting my sweaty, frizzy haired, crumpled self on the web. I can understand why you chose this dress to show off though, it is absolutely beautiful, such a great colour! xo

  11. I completely read you on the outfit posting ""schedule"". I'm hardly a fashion blog, but I always feel pressure to post more outfits. If I'm being honest with myself, it's just because it SEEMS so easy. "Just dress up! Just go take pictures!" But it takes soooo long that a lot of times I just skip it. If only!

  16. I love your outfit and that is such a cute "Cactus Queen" patch! I hate the heat too...TEXAS IS KILLING ME!!! I don't remember the last day that it was under 100 degrees here. My clothes are stuck to me and my hair is frizzed out as soon as I step out the door...AND the AC at work has been cutting out because it can't keep up. It's miserable! Fall and Winter I love you and miss you! Come back! :)
