7am // Some people like coffee but I prefer a mug of chocolate milk to get me moving in the morning.
8am // Working on the next day's blog post.
9am // I unearthed some things from the basement that I haven't been able to donate to Goodwill but still would like to clear out. I smell a sale in a few weeks. ;)
10am // Still sorting through things from the basement.
11am // Finishing up sorting things for the sale and getting them ready to photograph another day.
12pm // Watering all my beautiful plants and putting them back up on the rail after the previous day's super gnarly storm.
1pm // I straightened the house, folded some laundry and danced around to Man Man.
2pm // Planted some extra flowers I had sitting around from earlier in the year.
3pm // Decided to take a quick drive to the beach only to discover it was absolutely packed. I hate crowded beaches so I hopped back in my car and left.
4pm // Got home and discovered a lovely package from Sourpuss Clothing waiting for me.
5pm // Pizza from my absolute favorite pizza place and a delicious sarsaparilla for dinner!
6pm // Checked on the bunnies and spent some time cuddling them.
7pm // Watered the indoor plants that get watered (all the ones that aren't succulents) and rotated them all to ensure they get equal lighting.
8pm // Spent the rest of the night in bed reading. This is my first Charles Bukowski book aaaand I just might be hooked. Funny thing is I've had this book on my bookshelf for nearly two years now and just cracked it open a few days ago. This seems to be a running thing with me - the books I put off forever are the ones I end up really enjoying.
And that was my day broken down hour by hour. So crazy to think this my nineteenth month in a row doing a photo an hour. If you'd like to take a peek back you can use the "photo an hour" tag.
xoxo

  10. I just have to tell you, I was showing Logan your bunny photos last night and I think you are now his favorite person on the internet. He kept saying "Oh I like her hair there! Those mushrooms in her header are so cool. She likes teeth? That's awesome!" and then we watched the video of Professor Stingray as a kitten in the mirror a few times. Hahaha! :)

  13. Bukowski is a great one. I read "Women" a few years ago. As I talking over purchasing the book with a friend, this weird little gnome guy appeared out of nowhere and interrupted us by saying, "Don't fear Bukowski; he will set you free." Then he disappeared. So I had to buy it, and I loved it. I sometimes wonder if he was a magical little man, who's sole purpose is to perpetuate the selling of Bukowski's writing. (One can dream...)

  14. hahahaha. I do that with books too! Especially because I'm particular about the books I read. (I don't like books written in first person) so when I feel I need to read a new book but can't find one that I like at the bookstore, I just look in my bookshelf for one I haven't read yet. I figure, since it made it home, it's already something that piqued my interest.

  19. If I wasn't in a different country, I'd definitely want to buy your mirror/button maker. I'm so bad at keeping plants alive. I think my memory is just too bad. I got three plants for my birthday last month and only one of them is still alive.

  22. I think we subconsciously know which books are going to capture our hearts and put them aside until we can give them the time they deserve!

  24. I absolutely LOVE this idea for a post!! And you captured it all so beautifully. What does a sarsaparilla taste like? Is it anything like a rootbeer?

  25. Love Charles Bukowski. I pick up books I intend to read all the time and then don't for quite a while. Sometimes, when I do read them later, it is just the thing I need to read at that time and I wonder, how did I know? :)

  30. Actually, I think it was Borges who said that we aren't able to enjoy a book until it is deserving of us and we are deserving of it (something along those lines). I can't even count how many times I had to stop reading a book and maybe got back to it a couple of years later and just devoured it :)

  31. Love the photo an hour posts! Chocolate milk...or in the colder months, cocoa, is obviously the best way to start off a morning. Ohio has had some pretty gnarly storms lately. We were camping in the Oregon/Toledo area and our canopy got blown over a couple of times. It was crazy windy. Also, your record player and key chain and awesome!
