1 // cats in boxes...
that will never not make me smile. no matter how much time they spend in boxes, it's always cute!

2// my jackalope jewelry holder and seeing it slowly fill with pieces I love...
3// this silly tag...
I just picture "I'm the elf, Who are you?" being said with such attitude. Plus elf sack? eek.
4 // realizing I've kind of developed a thing for black and white clothing recently...
5 // the attitude this kitty is serving me...
6 // finding kind engravings in unlikely places...
seriously had these nail clippers forever and never noticed that!
7// this super sweet photo of Leaf and all the beautiful colors in my living room...
8 // realizing I have an unintentional collection of pretty feathers...
9 // finding new Japanese treats to taste...
10 // filling my craft room with even more beautiful plants...
What's making you smile today?

Today's a super exciting day for me, cross your fingers all goes well.

  5. Gosh, how do you keep the cats away from the plants?! I have to shove any flowers into the darkest corners of my house until I'm home - and then I have to move them from room to room wherever I go to brighten up my space.

    1. Oddly enough, my cats don't bother plants - ever. I had more problem keeping them away from plastic bags and dirty dishes than plants. Hah! Sorry I really don't have any great advice.

And the fact that your siamese cat's face reminded me of one of my favorite sketches of Monty Python, "Confuse a Cat". Have you watched it? :)

  15. Please come over and clean my house! ;) Your home always looks so neat and tidy. The pillows perfectly arranged, no dust bunnies, vacuuming done often, etc. Would you consider writing a household tips book? :)

  16. I got a package I've been waiting for months for today and the biggest thing making me smile is that we found out we we're approved to rent a house we looked at last week. There were so many other people looking at it, we didn't think we had a chance.

  17. These are all great! I love #5. My in-laws cat has a very haughty look too. Love him for it.

I love watching my cat sleep. He's a big boy and has to get into a tight curl to fit into his cat tree. I also like watching my seedlings grow. It's satisfying and amazing how some things will grow well given the right attention.

  21. Today I saw ducks in a place that I pass through every single day and never saw one. And saw a stork near home, thing that never happen in 24 years of my existence.

I love when I find unintentional collection. Just this past weekend realized I have a collection of bookmarks. Huge.

    Your orchids look adorable!

Will you let us know how to Orchid-keeping goes for you? They're such beautiful plants but I have the hardest time keeping them alive, and would love some real-person advice (aka not something you randomly read in internet-land).
