I did my monthly photo an hour with only two days to spare before the beginning of the new month. I'd like blame it on the short month, but c'mon it's only three days shorter. It's not really that big of a difference. The real reason I kept putting it off was because I didn't want to shoot it on a day where I had nothing planned. In the summertime it's different because I'm outside, I'm taking walks, I'm at the beach, etc but winter is really boring for me. Anyway, here's a pretty typical winter day for me.
8am // fresh out of the shower.
9am // catching up on the dishes.
10am // checking out some neat dental xrays I got in the mail the day before. I've always wanted a small collection of xrays and now I have some. The only thing that could make these better is if they were my own - not that I want my teeth to look like that - I just want my own xrays.
(thanks so much Irene!)
11am // baking!
(nesting doll measuring cups can be found here)
12pm // fresh out of the oven peanut butter pillows (with chocolate chips!)
1pm // caught these two cuties grooming and cuddling each other.
2pm // the mail man showed up with a lovely package from JewelMint!
3pm // a before dinner snack of hummus and hot sauce on tortilla chips, with some kool-aid!
4pm // writing some letters.
5pm // a take out dinner from Melt!
6pm // checking on some pretty pressed flowers I have drying.
7pm // my night, of course, ends with a bubble bath and some reading.
And that's that!Hope you all have a lovely Tuesday.
xoxo

This looks like such a lovely relaxing day!! And I know what you mean about winter days just being so boring. I actually had my boyfriend accuse me of suggesting we try a new coffee shop, just so I could use it for my photo an hour. In my defense, we had an hour to kill and we were right around the corner!! It can be hard to show much variety in the day when you work on a long project, or are snowed in!

I heart Melt!!! Between that and the fact you guys have a World Market (Pittsburgh doesn't) I don't think Cleveland is all that bad ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha! Melt alone makes Cleveland a pretty swell place! ;)
Deletei love these photos!!! and the cats, as always...
ReplyDeletecute photographs, love those pressed flowers :D xx
ReplyDeleteWow, a shower and a bath in one day?! Sounds so luxurious! :) My skin is so dry (esp. in winter) that my body would dry up and crack into a million pieces if I did that! ;)
ReplyDeleteThe dinner from Melt looks delish!!
Sounds like you need to try some Lush! I get dry from showers but bubble baths I come out 100x softer and less dry.

Lady...it doesn't seem like your daily experience would ever be boring. Even in the dead of winter. Impressive dish collection! We need to spruce ours up!

Your pressed flowers are so beautiful! It's been raining horribly here (in Brisbane, Australia), so there have been no flowers lately. That sandwich looks amazing too, by the way! Lovely photos :)
