Weekly Nail - The Dainty Squid

Weekly Nail

Sunday, December 16, 2012

Supplies used...
American Apparel Malibu Green
Sally Hansen Thinking of Blue
Zoya Wednesday
Funky Fingers Volts
Seche Vite as a top coat
Nail stickers (blogged about here // bought from here

These nails were inspired by a design Elycia shared on instagram a while back (see here!). I just might like hers a little bit more but blue is so much more me, as if that weren't obvious by my blue hair, blue dress and just general obsession with the color. (The funny thing is I don't even consider blue my favorite color!) Four stripes of different shades of the same color seems so simple but I think it makes such a statement. I love the way this looks. I'm excited to do it with more colors. I'd maybe even like to try something like this but with four stripes instead of three. (That would actually be a huge task, but so worth it!)
Hope you have an excellent Sunday!
xoxo

    1. Oh! Those colours! They remind me of the water in the bay when it's calm and you can see graduating shades of aqua and blue and far-off navy. This is my favourite WN hands down!

    1. I don't really know. I normally do it over the course of a day or so. A coat in the morning, another coat around lunch, etc. That way I'm not sitting around waiting for them to dry all day. :)

  10. Ok I do NOT understand how you get your nails so fricking perfect. I try things like this and they get messed up so quickly! These are really really lovely, I love shades of blue personally. Did you use nail tape or regular tape?
