photo an hour : December 8th, 2012

Tuesday, December 18, 2012

Finally, my last photo an hour of the year! I'm so happy to have gotten it done before the very end of the month so now I don't have to worry about it during the holiday rush. I chose to document the Saturday Elycia came out to visit. So here is my December 8th, 2012 broken down hour by hour...

8am // Woke up, showered and picked out my clothes for the day.
9am // Made a smoothie for breakfast. Strawberries, bananas and some yogurt - my favorite!
10am // All dressed and ready for the day (minus a few curlers still left in my hair...) with a clean house waiting for guests to arrive!
11am // Hung out with Cornelius while waiting...
Holy cow, I didn't realize how much this kitty had grown since September until looking at that post!
1pm // Took outfit pictures with my best friend...
You can see the outfit post here.
2pm // Headed to our new favorite restaurant, Melt, for lunch!
How can you not love a place with a rootbeer list!?
3pm // Finally leaving Melt! We left with ridiculously full bellies!
If you happen to go to Melt, please try their buffalo tofu. You will not be disappointed!!
4pm // We headed to the mall to take photobooth pictures and ended up playing glow mini-golf!
SO fun! I can't wait to play mini-golf some more, that was my first time.
5pm // After an intense game of glow mini-golf we headed to the bowling alley to play a few games.
6pm // After bowling two games we hit up the arcade! It was literally the most disappointing arcade ever, nearly all of the games ate our tokens but we still had a blast.
Afterwards we headed back to my house, rented The Campaign, ate some leftovers and crashed early because apparently bowling and mini-golf are really tiring! Haha!

I'm so excited to finally be able to cross this goal off my list. Taking a photo an hour one day out of the month for each of the twelve months in a year sounds like a relatively simple task but some times it can seem so daunting which leads to putting it off, and avoiding it. Looking back at some of the earlier months I'm amazed at the all the little changes I can see in my life, I'm so happy to have taken the time to do this little project!

If you'd like to take a peek back at the other photo an hour posts from this year here the complete list:
January : February : March : April : May : June : July : August : September : October : November and... well, you're already looking at December.

Hope you're having a great Tuesday!
xoxo

  6. So fun! I love getting days with my best friend. I am lucky because I live so close to her but my schedule is so crazy I don't get nearly enough time. I need to get on that.

Now... a question! I have a very similar hairstyle to yours (I am growing mine out) and I always love how your hair is styled. Do you just use rollers on damp/dry hair, or is there a specific routine? I don't want to bother you about making a tutorial, but I'd love to know how you get the curly/wavyness in, especially lately. It's so cute!

  11. I've alway read your're post, but it's the first time I leave a comment.
Even just take a look to your blog is one of my favourite relaxing thing to do in my freetime.
I love your ideas, I love your photos (such beautiful colors!) and I love your style! In Italy the style is (too often) follow the trends choosed by famous stylist; so if you decide to get dressed with something "unusual", it's seems perfectly normal if people look at you with oddity.

Apologize me for the english but I'm Italian!

  12. These were honestly some of my favorite posts. You always took such gorgeous photos. Also, I noticed in the first photo, it looks like you hang your clothes backwards?(the curve of the hanger faces away) does that have any benefit? haha may be an odd question.

    1. Nope! It's actually like that because my clothing rack was leaning due to weight so I just turned it around so it would lean against the wall instead and I never turned the hangers around. Now every time I put something back I just continue to put the hangers like that. Hah!
      :)

  13. Oh! One other comment. I'm not sure if you've ever done a post about this, but it would be super cool if you would do a post telling us how you got to where you are today. (blogging for your job) I know most people following blogs would agree it seems like an absolute dream job. :)

  18. I really loved seeing these posts all year! Do you think you'll do this again next year, or do you have another project in mind? Year-long projects are hard but it's so exciting when you actually stick with it and have something like this to remember 2012 by. Now I just have to figure out what I'm doing for 2013!
