I've been going a bit brooch crazy lately! I stumbled upon some really neat goodies in the supplies section on etsy that I figured would make neat brooches. Now I basically just want to plan all outfits around them. First I found the cicada (from this shop) which I grabbed two of so I could make collar clips (and sweater clips). Then I stumbled upon this shop which has a whoooole bunch of awesome things to make brooches from. I bought a pack of ten moths. But when I went back to see what else they had after I got those I fell in love with the "elusive moth collection" which has my favorite moth. the death's-head! guh!! So far I haven't come up with an excuse as to why I would need 16 moth brooches but I've certainly got my eye on them. A while back I shared some photos of my brooch collection but since then it's grown quite a bit. I've been thinking of sharing some updated photos soon.

Today is for catching up on emails (I kind of let them get out of hand last week! Oops!), an orthodontist appointment, baking and some more blog planning for the month of November. For the second day in a row in quite some time we're actually not supposed to get any rain today so I'm hoping to get outside and do something in the yard later. It's scary how soon the snow will be here. I need to cherish every nice day!

Hope you have an excellent Monday!
xoxo

I adore brooches, I have way too many, but honestly, I think you can never have enough. If you have enough basics, you can wear them with everything, even on your bags and shoes. So keep hoarding, and show us some more :D

    1. Oh my gosh, yes!! I love that! Does it look nice in person? I really hate sites that don't show real pictures of the product. I'm in the market for a new shower curtain so that would be perfect!!

    2. not as nice as I would've hoped, it's a little grainy and kind of pixilated, but not too bad, I still love it.

  10. You can never have too much brooches. I love each and any brooche I possess - somehow I find they make every (also very simple) outfit look special. My favourite is your cicade btw :)

  13. Dang your hair always looks so perfect. I'm jealous!

Those moths are just great...you could do all sorts of stuff with them! You could make little pins for hats, you could try to make them clasps for bags, shoe clips!, hair pins, you could make a shadowbox....They seem like they could be a million things. I definitely think you could find a use for 16 moths hehe!

  15. Ugh, I'm so jealous about the dress. I ordered it myself immediately after it went on sale and when it arrived it was too small and I had to send it back. HUGE disappointment. I've pretty much been moping about it ever since. You look amazing of course and I love love love the broaches! I have a similar moth broach from Etsy and I love it too!

    1. It definitely runs super small! I'm normally a medium in everything but I grabbed a large in this and still feel like it's a bit tight in the bust - but it fits everywhere else so nicely I didn't return it.

Also, I'm majorly swooning over your purse - so cute!

  17. Love that dress on you. Does it sit well? I bought a dress from Modcloth once and the waist sat really high, making the dress look odd on me. I have never been game to buy anything else from them, but your dress would be perfect.

    1. Uh, the way this one sits isn't my favorite. I actually prefer the waists of my dresses up pretty high, like right around the bottom of my ribs but still on my ribs. This dress sits lower than that.

Other than that and the fact the bust runs very small (definitely size up if you're been blessed up top) - it' great!
