2 // Caterpillars covered in morning dew...
3 // Photos that show how beautiful our very brief autumn colors were...
4 // Tiny purple mushrooms...
5 // Strange old photos found in the trash...
who gets rid of awesome pictures like this?!
6 // Packages in my po box from two separate people but with matching themes...
Thanks Emily & Fiany!

mushrooms really are amazing!
9 // This photo of this giant pup and I...
I hate sharing instagram photos in regular, non-instagram posts but I'm melting over this picture. I have never loved a dog like I love Crum. He's seriously the best, ever. We're totally best buddies.

Oh how I miss flowers!

Hope you have an awesome day! I'm so very tired this morning. Last night I went to see O'Death at the Grog Shop in Cleveland. Oh my goodness, it was amazing. But I'm running on about three and half hours sleep and my ears hurt so bad. (Totally not complaining about my ears, I loved every second & rather enjoy this little reminder of how amazing last night was.) I'd normally say something like 'today will be a day for working quietly in my craft room' but I know there will be a generous amount of time dancing with the music turned all the way up and that's just perfect!

  3. For your ears--ear plugs! You can still hear the music, and you won't wake up with ringing in your ears the next morning. I use the soft, squishy kind that a lot of venues have started to sell. They're show-savers for sure.

Love the picture of you and Crum. Totally cute.

  6. Thanks for the O'Death link, great sound :)

I recently got myself a pair of ear plugs - not the industrial variety but some that leave you still able to enjoy live music, just without the morning after buzzing ear hush. Mind you, I only wear them when it gets really loud :)

I went to see Father John Misty last weekend, so I am still hopping all over the place to imaginary music :)

  12. I've never heard of O'Death before, but I'm digging their sound! Thanks for the link :).
Your posts always seem to manage to make me miss having an animal companion so so much. It's going to be a lot less heartbreaking to read your posts some day when I have a pet again :P. Crum is such a treasure, I love big dogs, they are so affectionate and protective, just wonderful!
    Hope you're having a good week :)

  18. I think for sure you are being played by Carl. He looks way to clean and fluffy to be a stray. He probably has a route of people that feed him and then goes home to his own house! lol!

    1. Nope, it's been confirmed by another neighbor he's a stray. He's just really clean kitty.

    2. Thats amazing! My 13 year old inside cat isn't even that clean looking! We have always joked the BooBooKitty is a dirt-ball though! lol.

Before we moved to our current house we lived in a 3 month temp rental. There was the CUTEST little stray there. She had extra toes! We named her SixToe I sort of regretted not moving her with us but I was afraid that she was someones "outside" cat.

  19. I love it all! Wow, I don't think I've realised how big Crum is! The mushrooms are so pretty, both the purple ones and the spore print thing you're doing. That pattern would make such a pretty dress! Or scarf!

  20. I know I made spore prints in grade school, but I had completely forgotten about it until I saw this post. I have to try it again. Thanks for the fun reminder!

Also, I second (or is it fourth by now?) the recommendation for earplugs. I keep a pair in my purse for shows, and they really help me enjoy myself without worrying about my hearing. Of course, I'm an old fogey, so you can't always go by me. :)
