Back to digital...

Wednesday, October 03, 2012

After our little trip to Chicago a few weekends ago and the lack of photos I took during our stay I realized I've really been neglecting my digital camera. I went through a time when I only took digital, then I rediscovered my love of film and basically forgot about digital but now I'd really like to find a balance. I couldn't choose a favorite between the two. I like film for some things and digital for others. I find that I use digital for little snapshots of my day the most.

I feel like over the last few months I've really forgot to take those little daily snapshots of just about everything that I really love to look back on. The other day when Kevin and I had out weekly evening with my parents to go hiking I made an effort to take more picture and I couldn't be happier. I love the way they turned out. Now I feel like I wasted so much of the year not taking pictures. Here's to getting back in the game and always having a camera (digital or film, hopefully a good mix of both) around my neck!
Hope you have a great Wednesday. I just watched Professor Stingray chase his tail for like five minutes straight, I can tell it's going to be a good day. Hehe!

  3. I've got to admit I'm a big fan of digital cameras, I love the excitement of film, the not knowing what is there, but as less and less places around me process it I think digital has become my go to. These photos are gorgeous, you're so lucky that the flowers are still out, they all seem to be hiding away here xo

  18. I'm often really torn between digital and film. I used to develop my own films back in college, and the fact I can't do that any more kind of gives me a sad. I'm thinking of converting a wardrobe in my room into a very mini darkroom and trying again! Nowadays, I just post-produce my digital for a more film effect, but it's not quite as fun :(
