Ohio may have some neat roadside attractions but I'm pretty sure we don't have any giant dinosaurs which really bums me out. I'd really enjoy a roadtrip where my main goal was just to visit ridiculous roadside attractions.

I've loved these mugs with surprise animals in the bottom for quite a while but with hot chocolate season approaching quickly I've been thinking about finally splurging and getting this one.

Someday I'll see my favorite mushrooms (amanita muscaria) in person but until then I'll just enjoy pretty pictures of them. Aren't they so beautiful?!

I'm crazy about this dress from Madewell. Three quarter length sleeves are my favorite!

Nicholas Hendrickx has this amazing set of photos called "The Adventures Of Mr. Fly." Mentally added to the "why didn't I think of that first?!" list. I love them so much!
I've followed Gemma Correll's work for some time but this one just might be my all time favorite.
It's getting to be that time of the year when I start getting stoked about winter coats. This one is so pretty. The color is great.

A cheeseboard isn't really something I need, at all, but that doesn't stop me from thinking this has to be one of the cutest cheeseboards ever!

Look at these adorable pencil push pops! How precious!! There is a tutorial if you're interested in making some of your own.

I saw all these items on Modcloth's new arrivals page and thought they'd make a perfect fall outfit. I love the darker colors. Those tights are a definite must have for me, I can't resist tights with hearts on them.

Hope you're having an awesome Friday! It's going to be an awesome weekend, I'm so ready for it to begin.

  1. Ahahaha Kaylah, you've got to come to Australia sometime - we literally have highways leading between each of our giant attractions (ie. The Big Banana - yep a huge banana, The Big Merino - a huge sheep with a shop inside). Check this out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australia's_big_things
Loving those tights and the GC print too!
    Sway xxx

  2. The checked Madewell dress is just perfect! XO.

  3. This has to be one of my favorite FF posts yet :D I love everything!! Even the Mr. Fly pictures (I hate flies!)

  4. Amanita Muscaria are abundant very close to where I live (in New Zealand), I see them often when I walk my dog! I have some really nice photos of them, actually. Next time I'll take a spare moment to appreciate them in your honour.

  5. I love your Friday favourites posts :)

  6. That giant dinosaur reminded me of a short documentary I watched on Netflix called A Program About Unusual Buildings & Other Roadside Stuff. I think my favorite was the teepee hotel, definitely made me want to take a road trip :)

  7. "The Adventures of Mr. Fly" is so cute!!

  8. Didn't know you were from Ohio (oh hey, so am I!) - I'm a new reader and just wanted to say I love your blog (and your hair). I especially love everything on this list - have a good weekend!

  9. Oooh so many awesome and adorable things! I seriously adore everything. And around this time of the year I always get crazy about new winter coats, although I know that I have enough winter coats.. I just want more! :p About these mushrooms, you have never seen those in real life? That's such a pity! We have them here (in The Netherlands) in the woods! Not really many though, you have to search for it, but it's definitely worth it!

And I need to try those pencil push pops, yum!

  10. I love that coffee cup! But I could totally see someone making something similar with a dirty mind. Yes, I have the mind of a 12 year old.

And I think I read about the flies before. Aren't they dead? lol

  11. You might like this: http://www.lepusluna.com/2012/02/amanita-muscaria-fine-art-print.html

  12. Oh man I forgot about those fly pictures! They get me smiling every time. My friend loves cheese, and she loves cute things, I think this might be a great Christmas present, besides, you don't ONLY have to use it for cheese, right!?

I might have shrugged at those tights if they didn't have the little red hearts on the heel! That almost made me squeel! So cute!

    Have a fantastic weekend dear!

  13. I think I've seen those mushrooms before in my yard once! I'm not sure if they were the same kind because they were more yellow-ish in color... but they were the weirdest things I ever saw! Love that pink coat, too.

  14. Really want one of those teacups ~ its a beaut!

  15. 1. you're right, all we have in Ohio is a giant basket and the big Muskie
    2. that plaid dress is completely perfect!
    3. the little red hearts on the back of those tights just convinced me I need them

  16. That backpack! :O

  17. So... I don't know if you have an iphone or not... but there is this awesome app called 'Roadside America' that shows you where all the crazy roadside attractions are! Whenever the hubby and I go on roadtrips I'm constantly checking to see what we're by. I've seen the World's Largest Concrete Gnome (Ames, IA), the World's Largest Turkey (Frazee, MN), the town called Christmas (Christmas, MI), and so many other fabulously ridiculous things!!! :D Thought you might like to know about it ;)

  18. Come to the Pacific Northwest and you will find Amanita muscaria growing under freeway overpasses, they're so common!

  19. You and those teeth! That's a really cute picture though =D

But I think my favorite is Mr. Fly! What an adventurer!!!!

  20. if the dino is veggie is my friend XD, i like it!! I wish you a lgreat weekend
    have fun.

  21. The outfit from ModCloth is absolutely stunning! I love those tights!

  22. You should come to Fairbanks, Alaska sometime. We had plenty of Amanita this year -- also Hericium, and even some Morchella!

  23. I wish we had a massive roadside dinosaur!

  24. Michigan has Dinosaur Zoo Gardens, a bunch of big dino statues in the woods. It's pretty cheesy but I had fun going there! :)

  25. Our road trips are almost always about roadside attractions; the bigger, the better! I don't know of any big dinos in OH, but we saw several dinosaurs in Pittsburgh still standing from the 2004 DinoMite Days public art project.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! I love reading what's on your mind! :)
