Seche Vite as a top coat
Nail stickers (blogged about here // bought from here)
It's been a while since I've done half and half nails (I think this might have been the last time) and I'm hooked again. I'm especially crazy about these ones. I wanted to do something a little darker, and not to summer-y, I feel like these fit the bill well.
Every time I start to get used to how awesome Seche Vite is I notice something new. I knew that it made my nails shiny but that first picture they're sooo glossy. I love having really shiny nails. I don't know what I did before discovering it. It's 100% the best top coat out there! What's your favorite top coat? (Also, for everyone out there that always asks how to get your nails to chip not as quickly - Seche Vite!! Give it a spin.)
Hope you're having an excellent Sunday!

Ooh these are all so pretty :) I love that O.P.I colour x
ReplyDeleteSirens and Bells
So pretty! They remind me of pretty, shiny river stones. ^_^
ReplyDeleteHave you ever tried poshé top coat? i find it just as good as SV but without getting gloopy ever!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of it, I'll have to check it out.
DeleteI've only had one bottle of SV get gloppy but I picked up some of their SV Restore and it completely fixed it up.
Beautiful! Out of curiosity, how long does it take you to do the half and half on all of your nails?
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to say, I normally do them in two parts. Like in the evening I'll do the base color, let it dry and when I wake up in the morning I do the other color and put on the top coat. So it's really not that long at all.

Love these! Your nails look lovely xx
ReplyDeleteSeche Vite is great. It is what we use on clients at my cosmetology school. I have been trying that Coastal Scents top coat (I am the one who emailed you the link to the collection haha) and so far I am not crazy about it.
ReplyDeleteOh this looks fun! <3 I need to do my nails again. And I need to buy more nail polish.. Especially when I see your weekly nail it reminds me every time how few bottles I have and how boring my nails are.
ReplyDeleteWow! That looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteFirst time I saw these nails, I thought they look like shiny rocks you find on riverbanks and I think that's just awesome!
ReplyDeleteAhh, I love transitioning into fall. These are perf.
ReplyDeleteMy type of colours :)
ReplyDeleteI prefer China Glaze Fast Forward. Stinks to high heaven but doesn't shrink my polish as Seche does.
I love this, I'm so impatient with my nails but these posts really make me want to experiment! x
ReplyDeleteEep! I ordered a set of the nail stickers and haven't gotten a chance to try them out. I did the same thing with falling asleep with the base coat, just haven't started the top coat. These look so awesome
ReplyDeleteThose colors look great together, it reminds me of those little bags of rocks you can pick out at souvenir shops.
ReplyDeleteI got some of those ebay stickers and totally made a mess. Oh well. There are a lot more left and a lot more things to try out. Your nails look fabulous! I love your color choices and you do such a perfect job. I have the Restore and it's great. I think it saves in the long run. Today my goal is to come home with 6 more nail polishes. Olives tones I think. Considering a second acrylic rack as well and the bf says 'go for it, I'll hang it up for you'. Ha!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Maybe I'll do my nails like this for my first day of class tomorrow <3 :)

Seche Vite changed my life! Haha it helps my short, brittle nails so much and makes them feel thick and glossy and pretty. <3

these are probably my favourite of all your weekly nails! Do you ever have an idea what just doesn't work out?
ReplyDeletei'm sporting one at the minute, boo
chloex
Oh absolutely! Probably once every three or four designs I end up with one that is just horrible.
DeleteRead your blog for about a month now and just wanted to say that doing so makes me happy :) thx!
ReplyDeleteAnother great nail design, I wish I could be as creative as you to come up with a new design each week! :)
ReplyDeleteI love love love these! So you just paint various colours as base coats, let them dry, then put scotch tape of to form the straight edge, and then the top coat? Fabulous colours! Thanks so much for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteYep! :)
DeleteI love these shades of blue! I am so envious that your nails always just look so immaculate =)
ReplyDeleteI use INM Out the Door as my top coat. It's a quick dry top coat. I read reviews that it doesn't stink (toluene free!) or shrink like SV and doesn't get goopy like SV so this INM is what I picked up from Sally's.

Shrink? You're not the first to mention that today but I really have never noticed it shrinking! I'm so intrigued now!
