A peek around my craft room - The Dainty Squid

A peek around my craft room

Monday, August 27, 2012

Just sharing some photos of my personal sanctuary today, this is where I work! It's home to all my favorite little collections, most of my clothing (I have a very small closet, and I love to see my clothes in the open!) and it's where I spend most of my week days typing, brainstorming and blogging.

I love sharing little peeks of my craft room. It changes so much and so often it's nice to have these little glimpses to look back on. We've been living in this house for just under three years and my craft room has gone through some major changes. If I didn't have photos it would be hard for me to believe I ever worked from my basement which is now a shell of what it used to look like due to water damage. Even since I've moved my space to the spare bedroom it's changed a crazy amount. You can view the evolution of my craft room using this tag. It's so strange for me to look through!

Well, I'm off to be productive. I've got some delicious zucchini bread in the oven and lots of little things to cross of my to-do list. Hope you all have a fabulous Monday.
xoxo

  1. I love the nail collection of yours. Maybe you should have a proper tribute to this, a whole post for this collection. Will you, please? :)

    2. Ok, I am total dump. I wanted to write "jaw collection" and when I re-read my comment before posting it I saw nail as jaw again. Anyway, enough with my tired brain, I meant a tribute to all the teeth and jaws that you thrifted along time :)

  2. It is so beautiful! And dreamy. Oh if I had a space like this of my own. My mom just moved out of our house though so hopefully we can turn the spare bedroom into a craft room for me! :)

  5. Everything is so perfectly placed! I love all your little things and how great they flow on each shelf. I'm slowly getting my sewing/craft room the way I need it, I just don't have adequate furniture yet.

    Have a great week!

  8. Lovely place, but I'm really curious: how can you have so many small items AND cats? I can't keep any small things on my shelves... my cats keep throwing them!

    1. I'm not sure why, but my cats have never ever had any issues with knocking stuff down. They don't get up on my desk and have never knocked down any of my knick knacks. Guess I just got lucky with four little angels. (Haha!)

  9. It's nice to see a nicely cluttered space, with everything out in the open! I have so many little knicknacks an I've been made to feel bad for having so much 'stuff' in the past, but I'm trying to find cute ways to display them out in the open! That's why I love all your nailpolish collection posts and stuff!

  10. Your craft room is so adorable yet very weird! It's great, honestly =D This is the aesthetic I'm going for in my art studio, it must of taken you quite a while to get your craft room to look so cool like this- it gives me the incentive to keep on truckin and get my studio to the point of how I want it to look.
