the details
sunglasses - c/o Tumbleweeds
skirt - c/o Modcloth
ring - c/o Romwe

You're going to have to excuse my windblown hair. It's summer time and I'm a windows down over air conditioning on in the air kind of girl when it comes to car rides. Also, being at home calls for no shoes in the backyard! I love feeling the grass on my bare feet. (I originally typed "bear feet". Haha!)

In the background of the first picture you can see our garden. I am so very excited about how tall our corn is growing. I cannot wait to devour it. Corn on the cob smothered in butter and salt is my absolute favorite food and I could probably eat it every day and not get sick of it. This is our second year growing it (we didn't grow any last year because I didn't know I could eat it with braces. I most certainly can.) and I can tell you food tastes even better when you grew it yourself.

Hope you're all having a fabulous day. I'm crossing my fingers for no more rain.

  1. I love the colors in this outfit. That orange is great. That ring is darling too! I wish I could go in my bare feet in my back yard. Living in Arizona you run the risk of stepping on something sharp like a pricker or scorpion @_@

  2. I'm still digging your hair, lady! Looks great.

  3. That ring is so sweet- I love your animal accessories.

Going barefoot and eating corn on the cob are two of summer's greatest pleasures!

  4. Love this. Your rainbow hair brightens up whatever you wear :) x

  5. I have the same ring :) And i love your sunglasses !

  6. I'm partial to windblown hair, it shows you've been enjoying life too much to worry if your hair is out of place! I wish I could perfect it, but I usually just look homeless :P
I was also going to look for 'shoes - c/o Kaylah' hehehe. And I LOVE corn on the cob, I could live on it, actually any kind of corn, canned, creamed, I don't care, it's all wonderful!

I'm so happy for you, your garden looks lovely, I'd totally spend hours there if I were you! :)
oh and I totally laughed at 'bear feet', I don't think that would look good on you! haha

  8. I love these colours on you, simple outfit but really beautiful. I can't wait to be able to grow my own food, we aren't allowed to dig up our garden at the moment but hopefully we will be moving to somewhere with more space soon, and some slightly more relaxed land lords. Have a great day xo

  9. I am so very jealous of your beautiful yard! I live in Nevada in an apartment and I wish I could have a beautiful big, green yard like that!
    Love and Turtledoves,

  10. First of all, I LOVE that top! And who knew that color would look so good with a sienna color skirt!? Not me!

I LOVE that you are growing a garden!!! My father in law has quite the garden going and is always giving me fresh banana peppers. I wish he would grow some corn! I grilled some in the husk last night and I said the same thing "I could eat this every day!!!"

    Pretty as always deary!

  11. I totally agree that having the windows down is way better in the car than air conditioning!

  12. I haven't been able to check your blog in a little while, but I LOVE the new hair color :) and those heart glasses are adorable!

  14. I love the delicate lace of that top.

    Bear feet sounds even better!

  15. I love corn on the cob, such a perfect summer snack and/or side dish. I'd love to grow my own corn some day. You can send your rain my way, it hasn't rained near me in a couple of weeks!

  16. you have such a huge yard! I can't believe you don't have a dog to play with in it ;)

  17. That ring is SO cool! My friend makes ones with dinosaurs hugging the band that she sells on Etsy, so I'm saving up for one of those.

  18. Lovely outfit Kaylah! I love the lace detail in the top.
It's amazing how fast corn grows, eh? I planted some corn beside the house, in front of a window, and the corn shot up so fast that I couldn't see out the window at all, lol. Happy growing! :)

  20. I LOVE that ring! I love how your sense of style is so individual. Its so boring reading blog where everyone dresses the same!

  22. nice posting.. thanks for sharing.

  23. mmm i love corn so much too! i miss being in the states and being able to buy fresh corn on the road and shuck it on the back steps.

It never tastes as good if you don't shuck it yourself!
