Gratuitous Photos of Squid...

Sunday, January 08, 2012

There is one kitty of mine who just doesn't get enough love on the blog even though shes the blog's namesake - Squid! She's camera shy and rarely lets me take her photo. So two weeks ago (yeah, I'm clearly really good at scheduling posts...) when she was lined up with the christmas tree and for some reason didn't run away when I started shoving the camera in her face I took advantage!
She's the best friend a girl could ask for. I love her so much. One of my favorite things about her is that little birth mark in her ear, it's so precious! All of our kitties have at least one little cute detail about them that I just adore! Leaf has a little birthmark on one of his toepads, Doc has those spots on his nose and Professor has crooked bottom teeth (I melt when I see them!!)

Eeep, sorry for the gushing but I just love my kitties. It's hard for me to imagine that some people don't have animal companions of some kind. Animals are the best!!

Hope you're having a great day! Give your animal friend some love from me today.
xoxo

  3. Aaah, she looks a lot like my boy cat, Gizmo. He's the only one who likes (or at least tolerates) being picked up so he and I have just had a big cuddle. He's so good natured!

  4. I completely agree! My little Oscar has a birth mark at his nose that we originally thought was a smudge of food..it melts my heart every time I see him. You can't get a better companion than a little cat can you?

  6. She is SO precious! I love cats so much, never stop posting about them! I love their names as well, haha. I don't have a cat right now because my sweetie Poela passed away a few years ago. Her cute little detail was that she didn't have a tail anymore and a bite in her ear. She was quite the fighter obviously, but the thing is she was so tiny! Even after her death it took quite a while until other cats dared to enter our garden. Wow, entire essay. Point is: yay kitties! Cats are the best and Squid is too cute.

  12. I totally know what you mean about how someone couldn't have a pet of some kind. There hasn't been a moment in my life where I was without a dog, bird, hermit crab, guinea pig...you get the idea :)

  14. Squid is gorgeous! All of these kitty stories are making me excited for when I move to college, because then I'll be able to get my own animal companions (most definitely a kitty first).
Also, I totally know what you mean about people not liking animals. Whenever I hear someone say that they don't really like animals, it just makes me concerned haha.

  17. Gorgeous pictures and gorgeous kitty. Sadly, I'm temporarily without my beloved miniature dachshund mix as Im moving to London and had to leave him at the in-laws while I sort myself out. They're in France so hundreds of miles away, I am sooo lost without my little dog.

  18. She's lovely! We unfortunately can't have any pets as we live on the 4th floor in the middle of the city and we're not allowed to have pets. We desperately want a little cat to keep up company so for 2012 our goal is to move to a kitty-friend abode.

    Fingers crossed!

  19. Aww, she is gorgeous! My cat (Riley) has resigned himself to endless photos, but has learned to shut his eyes when the camera appears so he avoids the flash... what a pal. x

  36. I love when you post pictures of your kitties! Since moving away from home I don't have any cats (the place I'm in doesn't allow animals) and it has left a monstrous hole in my life and my heart. I can't wait to have cats again!

  41. Aw, she is SO precious!!! We had a black kitty once, he was our baby for sure. <3 Also, I know exactly what you mean - about each furry (etc.) child having their own little unique cuteness! Mau has what we call "Egyptian make-up" as well as spots on his nose and little white toes. Wedge has a white splotch on his nose that is ADORABLE!!!

    Love kitties. <3

  43. Our kitty Sebby looks a lot like Squid and he's camera shy too. I love him to pieces but unlike our other cat, Poppy, and puppy, Daisy, he rarely appears on our blog. I love that you are totally animal obsessed, like me. I love my fur babies with all my heart and cannot imagine life without them. I will never understand people who don't love animals either!

  45. You're blog actually makes me love cats. Im kinda allergic and sometimes think cats can be really anti-social but whenever I read your blog (or play with my aunty's cats/watch breakfast at tiffanys) I really really want a cat.
Enough of my rambling. I hope you're having a wonderful day!!!

  46. Awh, i couldn't imagine life without my cats! Speaking of which, our new Bengal kitty has just escaped and got lost :( so scared we won't find her again!
That special tie cats have on you is so crazy, no cats = no making dough/sitting on your lap at the most annoying time but you don't mind, no coming to comfort you when they know somethings wrong, no filling your phone/camera up with more photos of your cat than your actual boyfriend!
