2012 Bulletin Board!

Wednesday, January 04, 2012

I've always loved taking everything off my bulletin board and putting new things up. A new year seemed like a great excuse to do it again, so that's what I did. I left a few of the same things up, I just couldn't bear to part with them but I did add lots of new things.
Here are a handful of detail shots, since they are always my favorite.
It's kind of all over the place, but it's perfectly fitting for me. There are cutesy things (the cat card with the fuzzy tail and bunting), nature things (dried mushrooms and animal photographs) and random things that I love (pictures of my nieces and nephew, neat keys, and stamps.) Everything on it makes me happy, I love looking at it!

Do you have a bulletin board or inspiration board? What do you put on it?

  7. I love the "Some people are wonderful nice" picture and the "Hang it there" monkey. What a fun board! Mine is just covered in a calendar, work sched, bills, and gel pen drawings. An inspiration board like this would be waaay better though.

  9. Love it! It's inspiring and reflects yourself at the moment you did it, like an abstract self-portrait :)
What do you do with the things you took off? I guess you don't want to trash them all?

Your craft room seems like a tiny museum with so much little treasures :)

  12. I have a cork board up on my wall, but it has all sorts of old things on, not nearly as pretty as yours. I have just asked hubby if he can hammer a nail in the wall for me tomorrow so I will move it near my bed and keep pretty things on, maybe when I have done it I will take a photo and post it on my blog for you and everyone to see.

  19. What an awesome bulletin board!

Mine is covered in postcards, found art, crafted bits and a photo of my folks wedding and one of me and my late grandpa when I was little. I just adore it.

In a weird synchronicity, I posted a picture of it last night on my latest blog post. Must be the bulletin board time of year...

    Happy new year!

  27. Marie, they just go in a drawer or folder. If it's special enough to go up on the bulletin board it'll probably never get thrown away! :P

Trice, they're vintage, my dad saved them for me from an auction box. aren't they fabulous?!

    Amber, Thanks!! :D

Tanya, it was actually an ad for our local animal shelter last year. I'm probably the only weirdo who thought it was funny enough to save. Sorry!

blythePonytailParades, miniature camera? That camera is regular size!

I put up a bulletin board on my closet last year, and it has lots of random stuff on it like this. If you want, you can see pics here!

  29. Haha yeah, I'm losing it. The first time I saw it I registered it as being tiny compared to everything else. Now that I look at it again, it looks right. I must be tired >.<

  39. I love your pinboard. The little numbered pins are adorable.

I have a giant pinboard above my fireplace. I've been pinning cards, letters, kid drawing, etc to it. I made it with foam core and a tapestry for $7.50! It's huge too (4 feet by 54 inches). (you can see it here :) http://geekdetails.com/blog/?p=6008 ).

  40. Having a collection of your fave things to look at every day is the best - I like to do this with our fridge. I always re-decorate the side of it at the beginning of each year too. :)
