the details:
jacket - thrifted
tights - amazon
brooch - vintage
belt - thrifted
sunglasses - c/o tumbleweeds
shoes - thrifted

These tights are the worst, but gosh they're cute! The knee part fits right on my knees but the thigh bones just aren't long enough because they don't make it all the way up. I'm not even that tall! I love that the fact that Halloween is coming makes things like this (skeleton tights) acceptable to wear out in public. (not that I don't plan on wearing them all year round anyway!) although I must admit, the whole "is that a wig?" is kind of getting old.

On a completely unrelated note - I'm totally bummed about how pretty all my flowers look here. These photos are from a few weeks ago (I'm really behind on outfit posts, I have so many sitting in my queue) and since then nearly all have become victim of the cool weather. My deck looks so naked now! I wish I could have pretty flowers out there all year round.

Well I've got to get back to work, my sewing machine and Breaking Bad are waiting for me. ;)
xoxo

  4. The flowers on my tiny windowsill are all starting to die away and it makes me sad too- even though I love autumn most out of all the seasons. I don't have a garden as I live in London but the bright petals of my potted flowers really brighten up the view out of the window in summer! At least you have all your bright cheery halloween decorations inside to cheer you up :) Do you put any in the garden/on your decking? A pile of pumpkins would look right at home there! x

  5. I wish I was a giant anteater, oh, of course! I'll get some pumpkins and fall flowers soon but nothing can beat all the pretty ones of summer time.

  21. I used to have a pair of white tights with black cobwebs and spiders on them that I bought around Halloween. I would wear them whenever and got so many compliments, it was crazy. One I remember the most was an applied linguistics professor at my university said to me "You've got style!" haha I was thrilled. I have a skeleton onesie-type jumpsuit costume that I've been threatening to wear out in public too. It's very comfy.

  26. Ooh I have those tights too! I haven't worn them in forever, I guess it's that season again. And yeah, with the brightly colored hair, i'm not looking forward to all of the post-halloween "hey, halloween's over!" comments...

  27. I have the same tights! And you're right, the "femur" part on the legs is kind of frustrating; mine tend to curl at an awkward angle, which is not what bones are supposed to do. Nevertheless, you totally pull them off! And those boots make you look like a rock star.

  44. Very Mr Jack from Tim Burton, you look awesome :-) really liked your last few articles, it's a fact even though we don't share the same universe, your joyful way to write and share these little things you like ( as Amélie and her hands in the seeds and grains bags) and that unique universe of yours is just adorable. Thanks for sharing all this :-)

PS: my favorite articles are probably "it's the little things" now you know why :-)

  46. I adore the purple hair! :]
Also, I get asked if my hair is a wig a lot, too. I've learned to make sarcastic jokes back, instead of letting it get to me. ;P
