I've got a super cute, and simple DIY for you all today! Here's how you can make your own triangle bunting necklace.
• scissors • tiny hole punch • pencil • scrap of vinyl (or leather) • jump rings • necklace chain
1 // Draw some small triangles along the bottom of your scrap of vinyl.
2 // Cut your triangles out! It's better to cut out too many in case you ruin any in another step.
3 // Punch a hole in each of the top two corners of the triangle. If you're using a tiny hole punch like mine you might have a problem getting the vinyl back out but using a pencil tip to help pry it out will do the job.
4 // Attach all the triangles together with your jump rings. Make sure they're all facing the same way!
5 // Attach your row of triangles to the chain and you're finished!
The day that I look the photos for the tutorial I was wearing a dress with a collar. When it came time to take some photos of the necklace on I was so bummed because I thought it wouldn't look very cute but to my surprise I think this bunting necklace looks even cuter under a collar!
Make sure to leave me a link or email me pictures if you make one too!

I really don't want or mean to be rude, I know you didn't ask for my opinion, I think you're awesome and have a great style but I've noticed your clothes are wrinkled sometimes...just saying. I know that happens and it's normal, but maybe you didn't notice and...I would like someone to tell me if it was me/my blog.again, sorry but it's just a suggestion.
ReplyDeleteAnon, wrinkles happen when you wear clothes. Uh...thanks for the concern though, I guess.

That is so rad, Kaylah! I can't wait to try one. And you're right, it looks great peeking out of the collar :)
ReplyDeleteAs for the wrinkly clothes comment - some bloggers (like Kaylah) actually wear their clothes that day, not just chuck them on for the photo, so wrinkles are going to happen no matter what. Such a strange thing to point out.

ReplyDeleteI just LOVE this DIY. I bought everything I needed to make these as xmas gifts and then ran into a roadblock upon finding fabrics...there was not much available at the closest JoAnn Fabrics to me which is about 30 minutes away...apparently vinyl and leather in cute colors is in HIGH Demand around LA....or there's some special store I don't know about since I'm a newbie to these types of crafts...anyway. LOVE the idea and hope someday I can at least make one for myself!!
ReplyDeletei like this so much!
