One step at a time! - The Dainty Squid

One step at a time!

After taking a bunch of photos of my craft room to blog about I realized my craft room really isn't as inspiring of a space as I'd like it to be. I decorated it with all my favorite things but it didn't come across to me as a crafty space.

This week I took down all my faux animal mounts and hung an inspiration board instead. I'm absolutely crazy about it. I hung it on the wall beside my desk so I can see it from where I sit.
 Close up time!
gorgeous fungi haired girl print from ambird!

Aren't those tacks the neatest?! I had a bunch of stuff hung up with boring ones then I dumped out a box and found those. Of course I had to take everything down and rehang them with those tacks! My dad had given them to me some time last year so that makes them extra special.

I'm really excited to be making my craft room a more inspiring crafty space. I think the issue before was it was too much like just another room in the house. I just wanted to sit in there and lounge, ya know what I mean? I'm working on displaying supplies, like the buttons in jars a few posts down, so that it can feel more like a place to work.

I'll be sure to share lots of photos when I finish redecorating.
xoxo!

  7. I'm actually surprised that you didn't put a fabric backing on your board, like here. Not that it isnt awesome as is, but you just seem like a more colorful person ;)

  9. Aaaalso i think it looks great as a plain cork board , then every piece you add isn't clashing with the fabric and has a nice clean spot! Whatever you know what you're doing *ahem* :3

  17. I love how much attention you put into details in your home and craft space! I kinda wish I could walk around your house... I think it would be like walking around in your head. And I didn't mean that to sound nearly as creepy as it may come across. :)
